THE BARROW AND FURNESS CONSERVATIVE ASSOCIATION
Dear Members,
Firstly, on your behalf I would like to thank Simon Fell for running an incredible campaign during the 2017 General Election.
As you know Simon fought a brilliant election campaign during the 2015 Elections and to come back as our Prospective Parliamentary Candidate this year to fight again for Barrow and Furness we are eternally grateful.
Once again Simon worked tirelessly in his quest to turn Barrow and Furness Blue with the help from his Election Agent Joe Hayek, his supportive family and the many Association activists, we once again saw the Labour majority in Barrow and Furness down, this went down from 795 in 2015 to 209 on the 8th June.
During this campaign and the County Council Elections in May we gained valuable information which is being logged and recorded, this material will be of enormous value to not only any future Prospective Parliamentary Candidate but to local Councillors during local elections. Simon has started foundations on which we can build.
Sadly even though the Conservative Party has been left with problems to solve, we must remember we won the seats and the vote, there are difficult times ahead but this is a great Country which is worth believing in.
On behalf of the Association I would not only like to thank Simon but Joe Hayek and all the members who helped and supported Simon during the campaign, their work was invaluable.
Our next step as an Association is to build on the solid foundations that have been left to us. If you would like to be part of our team you would be made most welcome.
Yours sincerely,
Cllr. Andrew Butcher
Chairman of the Barrow and Furness Conservative Association
